The Animal Consultants & Trainers Association (known and referred to as ACTA, was formed in the UK back in the 80’s.

Academic Animals Worldwide are one of the founder members. All the most reputable and responsible companies got together with the aim of protecting animals within the film, tv and media industry. 

Now this respected professional body of people have over the years drawn up guidelines and work to ethics unprecedented within the world of film and media.

ACTA have a team of veterinary doctors who are also experienced with the film industry and they offer their services as and when required.

Having an experienced veterinary surgeon on any film set is very reassuring for all concerned.

Taking care of our own animals back at base is Doctor Josef Brecka. He makes regular inspections wether we have a problem or not. He makes sure all our animals are in top condition and their vaccinations and treatments are up to date.

He controls all passports and documentation keeping everything up to date ensuring that all animals are ready to travel.
